Been up to dolwen today. 2 people fishing. One happened to be the henllan and llannefyfdd angling club secretary who informed me they have the lease to fish here. Currently negotiating for plas uchaf too. It’s £50 joining fee then £150 annually to join the club. They have 13 yrs of a 15 yr lease left and have stocked dolwen with 1350 rainbows in 2 yrs. membership is restricted to 30 anglers. I’m awaiting an email with club rules and contact details

Hi John, sorry didn’t spot this until just now. Now that you have an approved comment, your future comments will appear immediately without the need for moderation. I probably missed it as I was at the Jeremy Wade River Monsters talk at the time – well worth going to if you get the chance.

Let us know how it goes.

  4. myself and family used to come to this lake a few years ago and was sad to hear that it had shut down. but after reading the above on dolwen, i was pleased to hear that it was open again.

is there any other way to see if the lake is open again.
