Hi. Iam looking to come down for a day session with my farther. So just looking for some information from anyone please. How much for a day session? IS it 1 or 2 rods?, WHATS THE GOING BAIT? . any "hot pegs". Size of average fish? Which lakes etc ,any information would be much appreciated. Many thanks Dave Lincolnshire !!

Hi Dave I fish Froggats regularly - Tim owns the farm and waters and is a really nice bloke. It is £6 per day per rod. Marle Pool and Lodge Pools are Carp fisheries up to 20lb. The Leighs Pool is good for a mix of fishing:Roach/Chub/Orfe/Bream etc and usually you don't fail to catch. Rules basically are same as everywhere else. No floating baits, free running ledgers, no keep nets unless match fishing. I use Meat/Pellets/Corn - Boiles not usually very successful. I had my brothers with me two weeks ago and between 6 of us we caught 300lb+ on the Lodge - largest 12 lb Common . Hope this helps. Ron

Thanks for the information Ron, it's good to see people helping each other. I will try and round up the web elves to update this page. Good luck Dave, don't forget to post on how it goes. We desperately need more pictures of locations and catches, so please upload any you get with your comments. JC

Hi Tim I have been on 2 or 3 matches in the last few months with Terry and Denis from Arrowbank Caravan Park. I have a static there and want to bring some family members down one weekend. Can you tell me if you have any free dates available for 6 people either 5th/6th July or 12th/13th July? Thanks Ron York

We want this to be the most comprehensive directory of UK fishing locations. We are trying to get every UK Fishery and fishing spot on here, as well as all the best freshwater and sea fishing locations – but we will need help. We currently have nearly 6,000 UK freshwater angling spots listed.

If you know of a fishery or free angling location that is not listed here, please drop us a line with the contact page.

If you are a fishery owner and you would like us to add more information to your listing, just do the same and we will get back to you to sort things out.

Welcome to our new Site

We’re still passionate about fishing and our goal has been to make it easier than ever to find the best places to fish in the UK and get the latest and most useful information about them.

We have made considerable changes to the look and feel of the website, but our key goal here is to make it easier to see locations and fishery details across all devices. We have many other developments in the pipeline, including an App, as well as social media integration so you can use live4fishing inside Facebook. So we want to encourage you to comment, review and add photos so we can all get the best information we can.

Now we have phase one up and running, we will also be dedicated to answering questions on fisheries, and making sure peoples comments and updates are smooth and quick to make sure we have all the latest information on competitions, lakes and contact details for fisheries.

If you are a fishery owner and you’re not listed on here, your details are wrong, or if you would just like to add information about future events, then please do shout. Also, if you’ve got any more ideas of what we can do then please do help.
